Happened to come across a table at a gun show where the gentleman there had a number of Ruger accessories, including factory walnut grips for my particular gun. The original grips were long gone and the replacement ones on it looked terrible. Had been looking for years for any kind of grips for this Single Six that I had. Grips that say for COLT SAA will ALSO FIT Most Colt clones like,-CIMARRON,-UBERTI,-PIETTA,-USFA,-ARMI SAN MARCO,-BERETTA-GREAT WESTERN II and.

They fit just like they were custom made for my gun and look, well they look fantastic! Perfect for all those backyard BBQs! Was looking for a pair of grips for my shiny Ruger Vaquero and found these listed as being "New Ivory". Next are these Bar-S Tru-Ivory grips that I found online at Midway USA or Brownell's. Didn't have to send him the grip frame he just got it right first time out! Great grips at what I felt was an unbelievably low price for the quality you got for your money! Had these made out of American Holly as they look a lot like ivory at a fraction of the cost of the real thing. I have a few aftermarket grips along with some factory ones most are pretty decent while a few others fit perfectly and look great!įirst ones were made by Private's Custom Grips who unfortunately is no longer in the grip making business. Nice work! Look way better than the originals. I think they turned out well, they're not perfect by any means but in my opinion look sooooo much better than the factory ones. There was an additional "covid shipping fee" thoughĪny way, l got the grips and spent last weekend carefully marking, sanding, and then finishing them.

The grip is finally available and ready to ship if I still want it. Then about 3 weeks ago I get an email from Taylors. Too much other stuff going on with work, Covid, and a new house. To be honest, after that I pushed it to the back of my mind and forgot about it. Then Covid hits Italy, and I get an Email stating shipments were being pushed back indefinitely.\ Taylors contacted me to tell me they ship straight from Italy so they were at least 6 weeks out, and they would charge when they shipped it to me. I've done a fair amount of woodwork over the years and figured if I messed up, it would't be the first time I've wasted money, So I ordered a set. Sometime back around the first of the year, I found that Taylors & Co sold the rough shaped walnut grips for the Uberti 1873 for less than $20, so I decided to try a set and fit and finish them. They were too "reddish" for me on this gun, and just didn't jive well with the rest of the gun to me. It shoots well, the fit and finish is nice, but I've never liked the grips. About a year ago I picked up a gun I've been wanting for a while.
